I am thinking about going to Gingerman or waterferd in the spring and I am curious what would I need to get my car ready for something like this? I autocross every once in awhile but AutoX is probably mild compared to this. This is the modifications i have on my Firebird as we speak.
Suspension:
Eibach Pro Kit
Spohn 36mm Front and 24mm Rear Sway Bars
Spohn Adj. Panhard bar w/ polly bushings
Lakewood LCA's
KYB Gas-a-just Shocks and GR2 Struts (thinking about replacing the struts with Blisteins)
Spohn Subframe Connecters (weld-in)
16x8 Rims
Kumho ECSTA Supra 712's (255/50/ZR16's)
Hawk HPS Pads
Stock Rotors
Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace
Alighnment set at -1 camber, +4 caster, and 0 toe.
Drivetrain:
700r4 (an Auto, Yeah I know, ****ty but its what I got for now) Rebuilt though with heavy duty clutches, etc....
Vette Servo
2200 Stall Converter
TransGo Shift Kit
Pollyurthane Trans Mount
B&M 28,000 GVW Supercooler
3:42 GM Motive Gears
SLP Limited Slip Differential
Engine: 305 (I may have this replaced though before spring with a mild crate 350)
Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold
.447/.459 lift 205/207 duration @ .050 (LT1 Cam)
Flowmaster 80 Series Muffler
Custom 3" Cat-Back
No Cat
Edelbrock TES Headers 1-5/8" primaries
(3" collector Y-Pipe and Coated)
K&N 14x3 Open Element
MSD Cap/Rotor
MSD Blaster Coil
MSD 8.5mm Superconducter Wires
Accel Shorty Plugs at .045
March Underdrive Pulleys
180 Stat
Custom Prom
Modified Fuel Injection
And thats about it. I plan on upgrading my brakes with Baer's 2 piston 13" rotor setup but I don't have it right now so I can't say I am gonna have it when I go to the track. Same goes for the Aftermarket (probably Spohn brand) adj. Torque Arm.
What could I improve on, what are some of the rules, and what do I need to know before heading out there in the spring? Thanks.
