Hi All,
I've never been happy with the clutch slave on my Z, I've always considered it a weak link.
Does anyone know of aftermarket slaves that work well and bolt up in the stock format?
Thanks

Just curious. Why are you unhappy and why do you think it's a weak link? My has been working fine since 84.

I consider it a weak link because of the hard plastic line that connects it to the master, because it runs very close to the headers, and even though I have it wrapped in fuel line and heat tape, I wouldn't ever be surprized if it lats go, and because it barely slowly, and lazily disengages the clutch making for very slow, hard shifts in a 7500 rpm, 550 hp road racing motor.
That's why
anyone have a suggestion for a different one?

I think you can take the slave cylinder assemblies off of the fourth gens, (at least 94-97) Im pretty sure they are braided steel lines instead of plastic.

A '93-'97 T-56 hydro setup will bolt right in and has a steel braided line, but the line is also about 10" longer than the plastic 3rd gen one. '98+ T-56 hydros are totally different and won't even come close to working. I believe all 4th gen T-5 hydros will work, but don't quote me on that.
