can stock crank/rods with forged pistons and 12:1 compression take a 150 shot?

I'll be doing a rebuild on the motor soon, I'll be getting the stock rods shot peened and I'll be using the stock crank shaft. I'll be using ported heads/intake and I plan on using the LT4 hotcam as well. Will my rotating assembly handle a 150 shot of nitrous?

If I had that combo, I'd run 110+ octane gas when I sprayed. I wouldn't do it on 93.

Detonation! That's a lot of comp for 93 octane fuel. You could use a seperate fuel supply for spraying. Crankshaft parts exiting thru the oilpan is not a pertty sight, plus it makes a mess.

Hey blksgZ28,

I've been running for 2 1/2 years on my bone stock cast bottom end LT1 on 93 octane and NO knock sensor with a 2 stage 200 shot.

The car is just getting stronger http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif

I run 33 deg timing on the juice and have a killer fuel system. My 4400lb 4 door grampa car has run a best mph of 117.9 and a best ET of 11.79 on the stock bottom.

My set-up in an F-Body would run 10.9s/11.0s and 124/125 or so.
