Is the metal part in front of the LT1 MAF ok for an NX nozzle?

The reason is this, I'm making one of the most, if not the most hidden/stealth nitrous installs ever. In fact, it's taken me the better part of 9 months to complete (mostly cuz I was just dragging my ass and various injuries to Skull-1). There is no "switches in the ashtray" jive either. They will be camouflaged by hidden paneling. My good friend Jim said the elbow was not a good place to put the nozzle, as evidenced by it ripping away from him twice and tearing holes in the elbow. http://web.camaross.com/bb/redface.gif http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif

I was thinking of drilling a hole underneath the MAF and putting the nozzle there. It will be hidden for the most part, and disguised as another sensor to those not familiar to the LT1. What do you guys think?

as long as you don't spray it thru the MAF, tends to confuse the computer
I did a couple hidden systems on LT1's.. I use a single NX nozzle, and two small solenoids with hard piping, slipped up in the "drain tube" below the stock elbow. The lines run along next to the transmission cooler lines, and are covered in rubber hose. The single nozzle is good for 150 hp, and there is room for two if you are creative. The fuel line runs off the stock test port, down the back of the block, and good luck seeing it, especially at night.
For activation, use an old style floor mount dimmer switch, fits in the stock plastic kick panel in the foot rest. Wire a 3-position switch to your horn relay, up is horn, down is spray...
But I ain't tellin'

yep, pretty much the same as mine.. then you install a second, small shot, seperate bottle and all, in plain site, so when they look at your car, and say "you have to turn it off", you can say "ok", and try not to grin too big!
