Gauging any interest: Peavey Elec. guitar and Peavey amp

Both of these are about a year old but I only played on them for a couple months until I got too busy to practice. Actual play time was probably only 10 hours or so in those two months, if that. I don't really want to sell because I plan on getting back into it, but I need the money and I have an acoustic to still play on anyway.

Guitar is a Peavey Raptor Plus
6 string
Tone controls
Volume controls
5 way pickup selector
Wammy bar

Guitar is black in color with a chrome string mount and a chrome wammy bar. Excellent condition.

Amp is a Peavey Rage 158 Transtube series
Has Guitar and CD input
Headphone output
Clean volume control
Lead pregain and postgain controls
switches between clean and lead
Modern and Vintage Equalization controls
Low, Mid, and High controls for EQ
Also comes with a book that shows you exactly where to put the settings to get the desired sound your looking for.

Amp is also black in color with a little silver and red on the front.

I'll include a 10 foot guitar to amp cord. A shoulder strap for the guitar. And an upright stand for the guitar. I have a bunch of picks too and I'll throw in a few different kinds.

If it gets right down to it I might include a complete 1st lesson book with CD and a complete 2nd lesson book with CD. Each book was like $20.

I'm asking $400 plus shipping, I will negotiate some, but what I want to buy is $400 so I can't move too much. Also willing to meet anyone who is relatively local(like in Michigan), if they don't want me to ship.

Shoot me an email.

Sorry no case, I've never taken it anywhere so it always had a home on the stand. I'm slightly negotiable on price. I was just offering the books if someone couldn't quite decide they wanted to purchase for that price or not, as an added bonus. Give me an offer, I'll consider just about anything reasonable.

Thanks,
Jason

to be honest I don't know crap about electric guitar prices. I do know that I can't do 400.

All I know is that I traded in a classic acoustic on the guitar and amp and still had to pay a decent amount of cash for the setup. Nothing major but I know the acoustic was worth some good money so the electric must be also. It isn't anything spectacular but it's good quality and a great starter guitar. Everyone knows Peavey amps are great quality and they last a very very long time. So even if you upgraded guitars someday the amp would still serve you well.

doesnt sound like a bad deal too me
i can vouch for the guitar and amp
i have like the exact same setup and it's really sweet
guitar is really nice and the amp has got really nice controls ( i especially like (just like you mentioned) that it has the book with it that tells you how to get that sound out of the amp)
only bad thing is the amp doesnt have reverb, but other than that, sounds like a good deal
good luck selling man
