as for the shocks im not 100% sure about,so im not gonna try to feed u a line of bull acting like i know something, but for the suspension i would change the trailing arms, torque arm,and maybe the panhard bar to help w/ traction. im sure sub-frame connectors will help too,and it will tighten the car up everywhere, not just going straight.

hope that gets u on the right foot

try burning through 2nd and 3rd, just a shot in the dark but i assume your running some sort of dr or at least a wider tire? street tires don't handle stock horsepower very well let alone any serious amount.

beyond the obvious basics, tires are the best mod. adjustable shock/struts are fine for racing but on the street there not to "much" different from standard well valved setups. you could spend thousands and still burn them up if you tried. throw some good sticky tires on the car and if you still can't hook look to some suspension work for that. beyond making the car more enjoyable to drive and corner i would look elsewhere.

Put an air bag in the right rear spring.

I know in my wife's 99 C280, they had the battery in a tray under the fake trunk floor. You lift up the fake floor and you see the spare tire and the battery on the right side of the car in the trunk. Kudos to MB or as a parts guy at the Chrysler shop said. The Daimler Chrysler Corp where the Chrysler is silent.

What do you mean by "street" tires....what is the best kind of slick/semislick to run that is completely street/highway legal, gets 10-15k treadlife, and still hooks well? I've seen Nitto drag radials and F1 eagles as the only two decent ones I would think about....any more info on the tires?

BFG and Nitto Drags are your only choice for a street legal "sticky" tire that is driveable in the rain.

I'm on my second set of ET Streets(Mickey Thompson's Grooves street slick basically) and I'm not afraid of the rain but let me tell ya this...Anything over 25mph in actual rain it is impossible to control the rear of the car no matter how good of a driver you are, changes in the road toss the car around like a toy. There are also times when you can't even get up to 25mph because of a certain road surface and it being wet(asphalt mainly)...

I'd try a BFG Drag myself since I've never tried them and they're supposed to be stickier than Nitto Drags(I've had three set of Nitto drags both the 275/40/17 and 315/35/17). If they wear out too fast for ya, go to a nitto after that, they still work very well but that's my opinion.

Exclamation

and always be careful in the rain. Most Dry Surface based performance tires dont have enough tread depth to be considered safe in any rain.
