ws6/ss mufflersblackhawk96 09-02-2002, 01:05 PM are there any other places besides dealerships or junk yards to look for ws6/ss mufflers? blue95 09-02-2002, 01:15 PM put a post in the classifieds....most guys will give you a good deal. Green97RS 09-02-2002, 04:07 PM go to WWW.Hawksthirdgenparts.com (http://WWW.Hawksthirdgenparts.com) then go to camaro parts section, then click on "camaro Drivetrain" its the very first item. i bought it from them. it was 99 bucks. i love it . i highly recomend it. blackhawk96 09-02-2002, 07:27 PM that site says for 3rd gen firebirds/camaros...mine is a 4th gen firebird...it'll still work right? also, where did you get the extra brackets it says you need? Green97RS 09-02-2002, 11:07 PM no u dont need any addional brackets. they sell you the muffler with the pipes and the tips already welded on and they give you a cut in half over the axle pipe.i didnt use that. i had the muffler put on and the shop had to use an adapter to fit the 3inch part on the muffler to the 2 1\2 pipe already on the car. cost me 70 bucks on install. well worth it. i cant wait to get my caai on a see how it sounds. fbird95 09-03-2002, 01:09 AM You can also get the WS6 muffler from SLP. SLPeng.com last time i checked it was in the clerance section. I believe it is part 96020. It cost me 79.99 plus a cool 40.00 to get it shipped. I did have to buy a new right side bracket and and isolator as well as the adaptor. Unfortionatly SLP has a bad habbit of torching the muffler off right next to the muffler so the adaptor had to be welded. camaro6 09-03-2002, 01:11 AM Thats cool fbird95! thanks shortdog273 09-03-2002, 01:21 AM If you have a local fbody website in your area, post on the board that you're looking for a SS or WS6 muffler. ------------------ 2K BIRD 3.8 A4 (http://www.thenebula.com/carpics/pics/FBird.jpg) (Stock 3.42 Gears & LSD) With Intake, Exhaust And Suspension Mods. I'd rather do that than get a flowmaster. I plan to run a borla when I swap to the LS1. stangkilla1 09-05-2002, 08:56 PM oh yea, thanks GREEN97RS for the site(Hawks) I'm always looking for new sites with different stuff. fbird95 09-06-2002, 12:04 PM The brackets you need you can get at any GM Dealer. Just make sure you tell them that you want the left side muffler hanger bracket and isolator from an LS1 muffler. Don't tell them what you intend to do because then they get confused. The bracket and isolator cost me around 10.00 for both.
