LS1editDrumhawk 09-14-2003, 09:38 PM Heys guys, I drive an 02 firehawk and was wondering about the LS1edit. Any info is appreciated. ;) SpecForceZ28 09-14-2003, 10:39 PM LS1Edit is the best when it comes to computer tuning. I think the price is around $350 though, but you get a lot of options. Definately worth it. HPP3 and the Predator don't even compare. jchrisos 09-15-2003, 12:15 AM I was thinking about LS1 edit myself. I know nothing about programming for these cars, is the programming interface really technical or is fairly easy?? I DO NOT want to buy the HPP, but if it is much easier, I'm afraid I may have to. Thanks! P.S. Does my PCM need to be re-programmed after installing a Granatelly Z06 MAF? chpmnsws6 09-15-2003, 12:30 AM just have someone that knows how to tune it show u the ropes and then tinker with it little by little MARSTAUT 09-15-2003, 04:11 PM Ls1edit is more like $500 for one car and $100 for each aditional car up to 4. It is very technical I wouldn't know wear to start, but it is a very good tool for tuneing I mean you can change just about anything in the computer. If you know someone that has it and knows what they are doing it would be the way to go definatelly. jchrisos 09-15-2003, 05:10 PM How much easier is Tunercat compared to LS1edit?? mr_muff 09-16-2003, 05:25 PM never heard of tunercat. got a link? jchrisos 09-16-2003, 05:38 PM Originally posted by mr_muff never heard of tunercat. got a link? http://www.tunercat.com Lan01z 09-16-2003, 06:48 PM Ls1 edit is 600 dollars  http://carputing.tripod.com/LS1orderform.html ULTIMTEORANGESS 09-16-2003, 06:55 PM if you know how to use ls1 edit and have access to a dyno $600 is a descent price.first figure out what mods you want done before getting this done unless you have money to throw around.certain mods can cause you to need tuning to get the most out of them so plan out your mods and then have it tuned. mr_muff 09-16-2003, 06:59 PM if you read the tunercat page it can't do obdII. it stops at 95, so we can't use it on our ls1's. other than that it looks failry cheap and would do the same job. jchrisos 09-16-2003, 08:14 PM Originally posted by mr_muff if you read the tunercat page it can't do obdII. it stops at 95, so we can't use it on our ls1's. WHOA!!! Thanks for the info!!!!! Drumhawk 09-16-2003, 10:26 PM I want the LS1 edit and autotap, need a laptop too. Anyone selling a used one please e-mail me. Thanks for links guys. Drumhawk 09-16-2003, 10:27 PM I want the LS1 edit and autotap, need a laptop too. Anyone selling a used one please e-mail me. Thanks for links guys. mr_muff 09-16-2003, 11:10 PM post whore :) sbrown99TA 09-16-2003, 11:28 PM Yeah, I looked at getting it but $550 for one user seemed pretty steep....and now try to learn how to use it. It just did not seem worth the money or time at all. I just sent my PCM out to get tuned instead. Cheaper and a better tune, what else can you ask for? Thanks for links guys. They most likely wouldnt be able to sell it. It comes with 1 pcm license unless they bought more (which they most likely didnt) :( that would render it useless to you. chpmnsws6 09-17-2003, 10:58 PM they are makin good cash off this thing! we need to figure out a way to crack the code and then sell em for alot less :D for 550 you get a cd and a cord........ HMMMMM mr_muff 09-18-2003, 12:12 AM yea no doubt, they must be making a killing. | ||
