'98 Z28 alarm going off after pressing lock button on key fob

'98 Z28 every time I walk away from my car the alarm goes full blast a few seconds after I press the lock button on the key fob...this just started yesterday..whats going on?

i got it, shock sensor must of got wet when i lifted rear hatch yesterday...alot of water ran into car when i lifted hatch...bad place to put that sensor..imo:confused: ..thanks bullman a search turned up your post with same problem

sounds like it might be going bad.i had the same problem.it would beep a couple times at first.then after id lock my car it wouldnt stop.had to have my shock sensor and body control module replaced.
