1/4 mile time?

I have a 99 ls1 with ls6 manifold, slp lid, k&n air filter, 3.73's, m6 and put out about 330 hp. I haven't been to the track yet but was wondering what I should be running 1/4 mile. I would thihnk low 13's.

id think hed run what you have or maybe a tenth better...hes got pretty much what you have but with 3.73's and a lid i could see a 12.9 possible but more than likely 13.0-13.4 depending on driver.

Well I guess its better to say 13.0s on average than mid 12s.
If you go expecting mid 12s and run a 12.99 then you would be dissapointed. I agree with foff, expect low 13s ;)

Here's your single biggest factor ... I've seen the same car have as much as a half a tenth difference or more just by changing the driver ...

Second biggest factor ... tires. If you don't have at least drag radials, your extra ponies are going to be harder to manage ... see single biggest factor.

The car is capable of 12.6-12.7 ... depending on race weight, track conditions and getting some good air ... as well as the two factors previously mentioned.

My guess is 12.9-13.0 range!

I agree with you 100% :thumb:.

My dad and I raced our 2 cars together last month ('02 and '73), and we both came home surprised. My dad's car got the quickest "time" of the night (by .01 seconds:rolleyes: ) but I kept "winning" the races by getting off the line quicker and spinning the tires less (even in HIS car!!!:p). HOWEVER, we expected the '73 to blow the doors off my '02, and I think it IS possible, but the '73 is in need of E/T Streets badly.

TIRES and a competent driver are key to getting good times with your car;). As long as you can get good traction, even an average driver could probably cut a low 13 or high 12 with your car:).
