What all have you checked regarding the fans?

The fans won't kick on unless the car goes above a certain temp. The second fan will come on with the A/C though. To test if all the connections and fan motors are good. You can connect the top right two of the ALDL, i gotta special little piece, but i have used a paperclip to do that. Once the car is just in start mode.. but not started. Both fans should kick on. You will beable to see if one or both are not working or malfunctioning. My car started gettting hotter than usual and i did this and my primary fan would try and start and made some not so good sounds and just kinda died off.. So i went to GM and they just wanted $30-40 for a new fan motor. It could also be the relays though, which depending on the year can be located in different spots.

best thing to do first would be process of elimination. check your fusible link. next jump your fan straight to the battery see if it works at all. then you can proceed with you relays so on so forth and temp sensor.

well, code 15 is being set off which deals with the temp. sending unit. the fans wouldn't cut on at all. the engine got to above 250 degrees and still nothing. there's not a wire going into the temp. sending unit and i think that may be it. but i cant find the wire...
