I would want an AM/FM (optional XM?) radio with an audio in jack so that I can use the input device of my choice ...CD, MP3, cassette etc.
I also don't believe there would be a need or market for a remote CD changer in a car 3 years down the road. You can buy a couple of iPods for the price of the changer in the 4th gen.

"Audio In" jack would be excellent! An availableMP3 capable CD player would be very nice as well.

2 Megs? You do realize a cd holds 650 Megs, dont you? A normal music cd doesn't store music in a regular data format, however, but in a music data format. That's why a music cd only holds 74 minutes of music. Mp3's, however, are compressed, so that you can fit quite a bit more music on one cd. There is a slight loss in quality but it really depends on how good your musical ear is if you can hear it or not. I don't know what kind of file format an ipod uses or how much music it can store but I'm sure a mp3 cd could hold quite a bit more. the ipod probably uses a compressed file format similar to if not the same as mp3, and would therefor also have a slight loss in quality.
A line in would be very very nice though. I'd like one to hook up my minidisc player.
Edit: Ok, nevermind, I did a bit of researching and the ipod actually has a 10 GB to 30 GB amount of storage. Thats quite a bit :D I still think that there is a place for a cd changer though (especially if its mp3 capable). But they dont cost that much so they should be relatively inexpensive as an option.

Sorry ...my bad. I'll edit my original post.
MSRP on a 10 GB iPod is $299 a 30 GB is $499.
I have an original 5 GB iPod. It's holding 60 hours of music plus my Palm calendar and address.

CD changers will not go anywhere in the next 3 years. CDs are THE musical format of the day and not everyone wants to change them everytime they want to listen to new music. The only change I see coming is the move to all cars gettnig multiple CD in dash changers.
Adding MP3 capablitlies to CD players across teh board would be an excellent idea. If they did that, there would really be no need for an input on most stereos unless you wanted to hook up a mini disc player to your car. I'd rather just burn 1500 songs on a few MP3 CDs to put in my car than carry my MP3 player with me all the time.
