how many cu ft in..gritter 09-03-2003, 11:14 PM How many cu ft could i get outta the area where i store my t-tops in a 94 trans am? Thanks guys. firebirdude 09-04-2003, 12:51 AM I recently removed those plastic side panels along with the spare tire and jack. I basically made a fiberglass mold of the entire rear end of the vehicle.:D I had to do it in sections so I could remove it from the car. Due to the convex shape of the rear quarter panels. After two layers of kyntex, I duct taped the sections together, lined it with a trash bag and began to fill it with water. Used a little formula and got a pretty good estimate of what I could squeeze out of there. I figured I might be able to get roughly 8cuft before any driver or port displacement. Not keep in mind, this is without the side plastic panels, spare tire and jack. However, it did include a power antenna...... If you don't want to remove the plastic panels and are looking for the most airspace with them in..... I could only take a wild guess and say around 4cuft. But keep in mind that is a wild guess. So don't hold me to it! :p BUT I have been thinking about doing the same procedure with the panels in. So if you check back with me in a while, i might have an exact answer for you.:) bt96ss 09-04-2003, 02:05 AM MOst prefab boxes are between 1ft and 1.25 a chamber. I think I could custom build a box and get about 3.5 to 4 total. Most tens take about .5 to 1 cuft. Most twelves run well in 1 to 1.5cuft. ported boxes will be larger in most cases. | ||
