I may be ordering a 12 bolt within the next few days and I was wondering, Will the stock driveshaft work with the 12 bolt? I thought I read somewhere that it was too long. (I have an A4 BTW.) Also, How long does it usually take to get it? I would expect they would have to build it. Should I plan for three weeks or even longer?

Depends on the rear. Moser 12-bolts supposedly need a slightly shorter DS. A shop can cut and reweld the stocker I believe. Strange 12-bolts supposedly dont have that problem and are a true bolt in unlike the Moser's DS issue. A4 and M6 driveshafts are the same so it doesnt matter. I'd expect to plan for at least 3 or more weeks until the rear is at your door which depends where you got it and yes these rears are built to order. I dont know about Moser but I think Strange runs the rear to aid in the break in process so you bolt it in and go when it arrives at your door but I'd expect Moser to do the same. I dont have a Strange 12-bolt yet (my choice due to reasons above) but these answers are in plenty of threads so you can find support there too in what others have found.
