I hope this isn't a dumb question, but just in case...

I'm installing my ST front bar, and I was wondering if it matters which direction the slits in the bushings were facing (front or back). The instructions don't say, but I heard somewhere that it does. Anyone know?

Thanks...

Slits toward the front on the front bar and toward the rear on the rear bar.

Thanks for the help!

Mr. Big: I'll definately try to make it out there. I probably won't run, but it'll be nice to see some F-body folks. I'll clean up my LS1 brakes too...those Hawk pads dust like crazy!

How does the swaybar feel? What differences do you notice in handling and ride. I don't know if you've had your front aligned yet, but once you do, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the ST swaybar.

I really like the ST bar. I have just begun my quest for better handling on the car, and it has made the biggest difference. Before I mounted the ST bar, I had SFC, a shock tower brace, and poly rear sway bar bushings on the 19mm stock bar. When I added the front bar, it was an amazing difference...more responsive, much flatter at high speed turns, more fun.

The only problem I have had is my stock rims with cheap Yokohama A540s (no grip left). Today I just had some Goodyear F1 GS-D3s mounted on OEM C5s. I'm going to get them on this weekend and I'm sure they'll make a world of difference. I think that if you have my mods, and a good set of shocks (not like my stockers), the ST will be even more of a difference-maker.

I do have to recommend Stranoparts.com to buy this bar from. Excellent service and personal attention.

Sorry for the long reply...but I hope it helps.

Great reply. Thanks!

Strano is where I bought my Bilstein shocks from. I will also order the ST swaybar from them. Glad to hear you like it. It's definately in my plans.

It's funny, those are the exact tires I'm looking at to replace my Bridgestone Potenza RE730's.

Let me know how they handle if you get a chance.
