Any 6.5" with midbass? or 6*9's??hellostop 08-31-2003, 11:02 PM Does anyone make a 6.5 with decent midbass, what if I go with some high end 6*9's and back with a sub? firebirdude 08-31-2003, 11:36 PM Adire Audio Koda (http://www.adireaudio.com/mobile_audio/drivers/koda_6.htm) gets my vote. If those are too expensive..... look into the Kicker RMB6's. LS1 RULZ 09-01-2003, 07:57 AM Just say NO to 6x9's hellostop 09-01-2003, 11:30 PM $80 is cheap if the Kodas deliver. What is a recommended tweeter that has the correct impedence ? How much power @4ohms? firebirdude 09-02-2003, 12:44 PM Originally posted by hellostop $80 is cheap if the Kodas deliver. If you are trying for a component set, then buy the component set. bt96ss 09-04-2003, 02:22 AM you can make any quality midbass sound good. If you build a enclosure for the speaker, deaden the door or rear wall, use some polyfill and put some power on them. And when I say power I mean more than 50 watts rms. A speaker put in the hole, running off a radio will very seldom deliver good midbass. Example in the rear I put dynamat extreme on the wall where the spk goes dampening any vibes the wall would catch. I put polyfill all in the wall then installed the speaker. I did one this way and just installed the other speaker in the uprepped side and there was a world of difference. The prepped side had good midbass and a fuller sound. I did the same up front but I buit enclosures out of the factory rain guards. My midbass is so much better I can turn my subs off and still have good bass. hellostop 09-04-2003, 11:04 PM Is it possible to build an enclosure behind the front doors factory location? without messing up the window operation? When you say 50 watts, is that at 2 ohms or 4? bt96ss 09-05-2003, 09:00 AM yes it it possible. You just have to build a small sealed chamber not like a huge box in the door. You take the factory rain guard and use some fiberglass and make a speaker baffle out of it. At leat 50 watts 4ohm per side. I personally have 200 watts a side. | ||
