Anyone know anything about the take outs that GM had when the LT-1's had a problem with some type of cold engine knock? I've found 2 that will be $650-$750 and the guy says one of them looks like its never been in a car. These are supposed to be just the long block, no intake, opti or water pump.

I'm looking to put a LT-1 in a '90 RS so should I jump on one of these before they are gone?

I don't know, but if GM had a problem with them and didn't put them in a car. I wouldn't mess with them.
