Is this a good cam for my car??

I have a '68 327 that is bored .040 over. It has edelbrock performer RPM heads,intake, and a 600 cfm carb. The motor will be going in an 81 T/A that will be daily driven but will also see track use.

I was thinking of going with a hydraulic non roller with intake duration 223@.050 and exhaust 230@.050.

Intake lift is 0.471"
and exhaust 0.480"

LSA is 112
How does this sound? I also plan on adding nitrous (maybe a 125 shot) but I want lots of low end torque for city driving. any better suggestion besides getting a roller?

What cam is that? I would reccomend the cc268 atleast(479 int 480 exh 224/230 @.050 w/ a 114 lsa). I went w/ the 262 in my 3400# truck and I'm not happy w/ it.(11:1 w/ zz4 heads/intake and 750 vac sec.)
I think you went the wrong way for torque building a 327, if you wanted tq #'s you should have done a 406. Not saying you can't put out some impressive #'s though. But that motor is going to make power up top so a more agressive cam is needed.

I wasn't expecting alot of torque with this motor but I want to have a decent amount as most of the time I will be in the 2000-3500 rpm range. My friend works at a cam shop and I belive the cam is a custom grind

that cam is almost an EXACT copy of a comp XE268 - 224/230@.05, 110 LSA.

LOTS of lowend torque? I don't think this is exactly a torque cam for a 327...
On a 350, the 268 is about an average cam - not overly lowend or topend, will pull to 5500-6000 depending on heads/intake/etc.
With a smaller 327, the same cam will be a little more aggressive.
Don't worry - you'll still have plenty of torque for city driving! My daily driver - a '92 LeBaron gets by wonderfully with "only" 170lb-ft PEAK torque... Your 327 will make way more than that, even with a bigger cam! You'll also have less traction problems.
