I swear by the B&M kits. I have had two cars that I put them in. My 83 Crossfire Injected Z28 with no other mods but a Flowmaster would catch a mean second and sometimes third. Not for people with back or neck problems. http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif

Did you put it in yourself or take it to a shop? if so, how much time or money did it take?

I put them in myself. I have no idea what a shop would charge.

I put one of the B&M transpacks in, and it took about three hours. I tried the full race settings, which were too harsh, so I went down to the street/strip version, which was perfect. The kit was put in at 20,000 miles, and the trans now has almost 100,000 on it, with no problems.

I have heard of problems with them over at thirdgen.org. Most people tend to use a transgo. Check out there tranny section over there and ask a guy named probuiltautomatics what he thinks about there shift improver kits.

transgo is the only way to go. I have the transgo reprogramming kit in mine and the thing shifts like a bitch. actually it shifts to hard at part throttle so I am going to put the junior accumulator in it. I have put B&M shift kits in 4 different TH350 and was extremely happy with them. The th350 kit is easy to put in. However the B&M kit for the 700R4 was not and I wasnt nearly as happy with it. IMO, let a shop put a shift kit in the 700R4. One of the things you can do first is put a vette servo in it and a bigger boost valve, like a .492 or .500. My buddy did that to his 90 bird with a 305TBI in it and the thing would chirp tires. Hope this helps.
