will it help to cool the car down?? by how much??

i'm really wanna make my car runs cooler. it never went past the half mark, but cooler always better...

Yeah you'll notice the difference. I would try the Purple Royal Purple Ice though. I've heard in magazines that Water Wetter promotes the formation of scales in the radiator. It supposedly works better if the coolant is composed more of water than Dexron (both RP and Red Line).

You only need one bottle. I added it when I put in the new thermo. My temp used to set at the 1/4 mark, but now it just gets barely over 160*, unless driving a long time in hot weather.

 

Water Wetter didn't do anything for me.

 

I used one bottle in a 50/50 mix. Along with a 160 thermostat I hardly ever go over 200 degrees even in the heat of day.

 

TMD, we live in Cali so we can get away with more water/less antifreeze in our cars. Water wetter (and the like) work better with higher percentages of water in the system. I think I run a 30% antifreeze / 70% water solution in my car. I don;t have to worry about low freezing points, so what the hell. 30% antifreeze is more than sufficient to lubricate the H2O pump. Add water wetter to a 30/70 mixture and you will get even better results.

Look at the table, see how water has a higher thermal conductivity than glycol alone? You want as much water in there as possible, however you need some antifreeze to lubricate the H2O pump.
