how fast am i going?

my 84z speedo only goes to 85mph,but when i open her up on the highway how fast will this stock 84z go,and how much horse is this 305 5.0 puttin out. it feels pretty damm fast?

Unfortunatly they are pritty damn slow, you will see once you get use to the car and u get are ass kicked my an lt1/ls1. I think the fastist that car would go would be 120mph MAX. I beleive, i had a friend that had and 84z that was a dog. Anways hopefully you didnt get his old car http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif

i guess i'll never know,but its fast enough for me.maybe somthing was done to my z that i dont know about,nore the previous owner,but it definetely is a fun car to drive?

There is an equation that you can use to figure out how fast your car will go. Go to www.thirdgen.org (http://www.thirdgen.org) and look in the "Equations" section seen on the left side of the page. All you need is your gear ratio, tire diameter, and RPM.

I topped mine out at 137, thats on a radar gun too. My uncle works for the highway department and he had access to one for some odd reason.
