Cam Button and newer style blocks for roller cams

Hey guys. I have a roller cam I want to put into my '88 350. My block is a 1pc. roller 4 bolt main 350, but the cam I think is a retrofit cam and does NOT have the tapered nose-end like a regular roller cam to be used with the stock cam button. SO, can I run this cam using a aftermarket cam button that rides on the timing cover? I would like to try it out in this motor before I decide to go to a solid roller on my LT1.

In this case, do I run just a regular SBC double roller timing chain (what I have now)? Thanks.
