OEM Brakes???

What are the OEM brakes on a 98 L36? Guy at the brake shop said that he would put on the OEM brakes. I went to pick up the car and he put on ceramic brakes.

I am still illiterate on my car, so I am not sure what else he could have put on there...I dont know what else material there is besides the ceramic, but i know the ceramics are way expensive...

any help is appreciated. thanks!

Ceramics are not stock. They are very good pads though...expensive, but good. Minimal brake noise and dusting and are easy on the rotors. Careful though...ceramic is a good heat retainer...they can cook the rotor if they get too hot.

If you asked him for stock equipment, he might have given you Delco ceramic. If you didn't ask him for ceramic, I would tell him "Hey...didn't ask you for it, but thanks...now give me the price difference."

What is stock? Fiberglass? Metallic?
