Dont laugh, Homemade CAI, how do I seperate?

I made a 4" homemade CAI out of PVC. So a year later, I wanna clean up the airfilter and where the joint is suppose to seperate, it doesnt. There is no glue there, I just had a clamp there. Any ideas how I can seperate this?

If your CAI is made up of multiple pieces, you could just remove the foremost piece and replace it with a new piece and put a new filter on, if all-else fails.

if your talking about where 2 pieces of PVC come together, good luck...with the heat of the engine compartment those to have all but fused together. I made mine so it could come out as one piece minus the filter when I want to clean it. The filter is held on by a hose clamp.
