New Here, new Z28 owner

Hi all, I just got a 1984 Z28 a few weeks ago, and I LOVE it! The thing is I really don't know a lot about cars, except that I've loved them forever:confused:

I joined this group in the hope of learning all I can about owning a classic like this.

Where are you located? Theres usually a group of us in Fort Wayne at one point or another on the weekends, you should stop by.

What are your plans for the car...and whats in it now?

we're about 40 min north of Ft Wayne.
Right now it's pretty much stock (I think) 305 engine, 5.0 H.O. She does have a rebuilt carb. dual pipes, T-tops.

There are some things I think are "after market" pieces, like the dome light, ciggarette lighter, and radio (wiring is really messed up) so it's an adventure...lol

So far the people that have looked at her tell me she's really solid, body seems to be in decent shape, a few rough spots but all in all she looks good. Interior needs some work but nothing too major.

I'm in southern LaGrange county here.

I was thrilled, we took the Z to Indy this weekend and I got 24MPG ! This was the first trip we've taken her on so we weren't sure what the milage was gonna be. Everyone kept telling me that with the engine she has not to expect decent milage at all.
