Does anyone know where I can get a hard intake pipe to replace the orange dryer hose for a P1SC blower without waiting weeks for it? What places actually sell these?

Thanks,

Matt

i bet if you had a competent exhaust place around they might be able to weld you up a custom deal. thats where id go if i was looking for a custom intake tract type thing. hope this helps, you can call me stupid if it doesnt. :p

You might also try a chassis shop where they make headers too. They should be able to fab something up for you.

I had a performance fabrication shop make one for my F1 setup. It was costly but in my eyes well worth it. :)

Do a search on this. One guy used a intake tube from a powerdyne kit thats supposed to be for a ford cobra and mounted that to the blower it self and put a pretty big conical filter after it. Looks alot better and it wont cost you as much. This what I would use.

Basically I made the guy on the phone from Powerdyne go to thier webpage and look up the Powerdyne Supercharger Kit for 93-97 GM Camaro/Trans Am w/ LT-1 kit and told him that I wanted the intake that was above the crane ignition box (see link below).

This is what I did and you should probably do the same.

Click on the Link,
Then Click on K10503-101
You will see the Intake above the crane ignition box.
Now just tell the sales person on the phone to do same and they can find out the part number for you and sell you the intake...

Hope that helps,

Just curious as to how solid that Powerdyne cobra head is. Is there anyway it's going to collapse?

Its made out of somekinda plastic and its pretty solid NOT rubber.
I am running a 13-15# pulley (ATI states the 3.4 blower pulley would yield about 13-15 pounds on a stock motor) for a P1SC and I am seeing 10# of boost on a 65 degree day with the regular filter (not the bigger filter most folks use). I think thats good because its only a P1SC and I am only spinning my motor to 5900 rpms and my mods include, CC305 cam, long tubes, 3inch Y pipe with dual random cats, open borla, Two core front monted intercooler, an almost 9:1 compression 383 motor and completely Stock heads. If it was a D1SC blower I would have more boost with the same pullies, closer to 14-15 pounds. I dont have any issues with that powerdyne intake colapsing. If you have ever seen a K&N Cold air kit or a Moroso Cold air kit (see pick below), the material that is used to make the big part of the Moroso intake (not the filter) is what the powerdyne intake feels like....Its solid, not rubber.

Edit...I am using a 3.4 blower pulley not a 3.75

Hope that helps,
