Can a K&N FIPK work with NOS?

As title says. I am getting serious about getting a NOS 5177 kit instead of going the bolt-on route. It seems the kit is designed to work with a lid. Can it work with the K&N system?

hmm im not familiar with the LS1 but you can pretty much make nitrous work on any intake or elbow. is this a wet kit or a dry kit? you can just drill through the intake or route the nozzle through the IAT sensor hole and relocate it down by the filter. i bet it'll work with anything, it just might take a little creativity :)

5177 is a dry kit, and sprays through the MAF on the LS1. He's concerned about good mixing in the airbox, before it hits the MAF. Direct impingement of vaporizing N2O is not good for the MAF. NOS uses twin fan jet nozzles, on the sides of the stock airbox, to allow it to mix with air. A buddy of mine has seen good results with a Whisper lid and the 5177. What are the details of the K&N FIPK for the LS1? Can you locate the nozzles off to the sides so they don't spray directly on the MAF?

[EDIT] - OK... looked at a picture of the LS1 K&N FIPK, and it looks like an oval filter that just sits on the radiator cover, with no lid. Can't see how you would get nitrous into it..... putting the nozzles in the end cap, maybe????

Thanks for your responses. I have looked around and a few have put one nozzle in the end cap. I am not sure of the atomization potential with this set up. I have emailed NOS with my question. If it is not recommended, I am not thrilled about going wet, but below 100 hp I guess it would be OK.

why dont oyu want a wet kit? its the way to go (especially on the lt1) unless you have an aftermarket computer like fred has where he can control individual cylinders.
