JetHot Coating 08-18-2003, 09:32 AM Sorry for the delay in starting a NEW LT1 header GP, we just received the header again. We were out of stock for some time.
Jet Hot is offering the LT1 long tube headers for the 93-97 LT1 Camaro/Firebird. The headers are long tube with 1 3/4x3" collectors. The headers have the O2 bungs installed into the collectors. The headers are a 16 gauge metal and 3/8" flange thickness. The flange is weled on both sides and has a smooth matting surface for better sealing. The headers are fully coated in&out with the sterling silver finish. The headers get a lifetime corrosion warranty and a 3yr finish warranty.
We also offer the headers for the 94-97 cars with the emission tubes.
The price of the headers, fully coated with the sterling silver finish,is $529 to the door(within the U.S.).
Keep in mind, the 2 pay plan is always an option.
Please feel free to call or email with any questions.
Thanks
Chris

speed_demon24 08-18-2003, 01:30 PM Do I need 02 extensions with these headers, or will the stock wires work?
podany24 08-18-2003, 06:18 PM Is the two pay plan the same price or is there an extra charge?
Some people have streched the stockers, Jet-Hot suggests 24" extenders.
And as far as I'm aware no price difference.
Not speaking for ya Chris just trying to give these people something to chew on while they wait for a response. :D
Oh yeah and I'm finally installing my LTs tomarrow! THANX AGAIN CHRIS!
Larnach 08-18-2003, 11:59 PM Count me in! I'll give you guys a call sometime this week.

I used O2 extensions for both passenger side and driver side O2s. Stretching the stockers to me is more trouble than its worth and I didnt feel like ripping something out but it can be done.
speed_demon24 08-19-2003, 12:40 AM Sorry, but 1 more question, do they come with gaskets?
curly 08-19-2003, 07:58 AM Does JetHot plan to have a y-pipe setup for these headers? Just wondering... I guess the Hooker Y-pipe that has been posted will fit this setup, right? I am going to place my order for the Jet Hots before the end of the month if nothing else pops up.........:D

I see that some people have answered to this question and they are right, you do not have to get the O2 ext wires. But we do offer the Pair of O2 ext wires for $30.
Thanks

Jet Hot is working on a Ypipe (with and without the cats). We just finished the Y pipe for the LS1 and should have the LT1 Y pipe ready this fall. Any Y pipe on the market that works with the Hoker headers will work with the Jet Hot LT1 headers.
Thanks

RedPhenx 08-19-2003, 02:09 PM what is the 2 pay plan?
ibanez6rg 08-19-2003, 02:41 PM what is the 2 pay plan?
You pay half upfront and they send out the headers and pay the rest later... Although Chris hasn't taken my other half yet

You are correct. You pay 1/2 by credit card and we ship the parts out to you. We then charge the card the following month on teh same date.
Thanks

Mystic97Z 08-19-2003, 07:52 PM hey, how much are the headers if you wouldn't get them from the group purchase?
i need them for a 97 lt1 with emission hook ups. any exhaust shop should be able to custom fab a y-pipe to connect the headers to any cat back exhaust right?

If it was only as easy as driving down the the AZ plant. I appreciate your offer. I'm sorry to say, we haven't been able to move on to that project untill the LT1 Y pipe project is finished. Our pant to manufacture the headers is not located in AZ.
Thanks

JetHot Coating 08-20-2003, 02:34 PM We, I was finally able to get Jet Hot's price on the new Hooker Y pipe for the long tube headers. Hooker part number 16765 will work with the Jet Hot headers. We can only offer it as coated. The price of the Hooker Y pipe, fully coated in&out with the sterling silver finish ,is $209+$20s&h to the door. Of course ,it would get the lifetime corrosion warranty and 3 yr finish warranty.
I spoke with Hooker and they have a limited quanity so order quickly. We will be looking to stock some when Hooker stocks more. The normaly price for the Y pipe will run $268 with the s&h.
If there are any questions, please feel free to call or email me.
Thanks

curly 08-20-2003, 03:02 PM Chris,
Would you recommend the Hooker Y-pipe or the Mufflex Y-pipe for the combination? Is there any way you could offer a package deal with the Mufflex (coated, of course)? How long before your y-pipe will be out? I will have some time after I get the headers and y-pipe until the time when it is installed. I might wait for the Jet-hot y-pipe to complete the setup. I have read both will work but I am unsure of which to go with.... anyone else have any experiences with either?
Thanks,
Stephen

I just spoke with Chris and ordered the Hooker Y-pipe. I believe he told me that the Hooker actually had a "dent" in the area of the driver's side header for better clearence of the tranny crossmember! :D :thumb:

I did try a long time ago to run a GP with the Mufflex Y pipe. I didn't get enough orders and then found out that many people weren't happy with the Mufflex Y pipe. We ordered what Hooker had left in stock (8 Y pipes). I couldn't find out how long before they get more. We are still working on the Jet Hot Y pipe for the LT1, it should be ready this fall.
Thanks

I haven't been able to get a picture on the web yet. I spoke with hooker about the design. I was informed it has a 1 peice design and is 3" all the way though. The pipe bolts up the the headers and slides into the exhaust system and is secured by a band clamp. Hooker put a dent about 5" long on the top of the pipe to clear the trans mount on the driver's side. Once I get one in for coating(by 8/22 or 8/25), I can get a picture of a coated Y pipe and post it.
Thanks
Chris

speed_demon24 08-22-2003, 02:12 PM I got my headers  and I got the y-pipe from speedinc, quality seems great on both products. If you want to see pics of the y-pipe, just check out speedinc's post.
speed_demon24 08-25-2003, 10:20 PM The hooker y-pipe does not connect to the collectors, it's too wide. I'm going to have to drive it to a muffler shop and have it narrowed up. :(
