Suggestions on heads?

I've been saving up for either some Brodix Track 1 or AFR(not sure which) heads for my Nova. The car is set up mostly for drag-drag suspension, cage, seats, etc and I'll be working my way up to a 250ish shot of nitrous. Right now I'm using an old school set of "Double Hump" heads and have ran the time in my sig, off the bottle. I'll be spraying 100 shot this coming weekend if all goes well. Anyway, like I said I'm saving for some good heads. But I was wondering if anyone has used the Dart Iron Eagle heads? I was thinking maybe some 64cc chambered 215s? They sell brand new on ebay for around $680-$700 and it's hard to resist that price compared to the $1300 Brodix/AFRs. How do you think the Darts compare to the other heads? With the right cam I'm hoping to run in the 6's in the 1/8 mile. Should I keep saving or just shoot for the Darts? I know they weigh more but if that's the main difference I'm willing to sacrifice it. Thanks for the help!

Have you checked out the Trick Flow 23* aluminum heads on ebay for under $900?!? They are 195cc and only flow slightly less than the AFR 195. I'm going to get them for my 406sbc but I won't be anywhere near 6's in the 1/8th! Good luck!!

I'm always hearing great things about Dart and World iron heads, and they both have some very affordable products. I've seen several very fast cars with the Iron Eagles (with nitrous). I say, if you aren't concerned with the extra 30 or 40 lbs, then go for the Iron Eagles. :thumb:

Stick with the AFRs! If you are planning to step up in the future, go with there "race ready" 227 package... For around $1400 it will be well worth your money spent... Flow #s are great and infinetley repairable, moreso than any iron head... Not to mention the weight savings (transfer)...
