I'm lookin for a 350 block, around the GV area to build for my 79. Not running or anything, just a block that isn't cracked or warped. Anyone have one or seen one around?

I have a 78? 350 (from my old truck, spun a rod bearing). I would have to measure the bore but I think its .030. I also have a one peice 350ci with heads (not vortecs) that I know nothing about the history. Its sitting on a shelf at work. Id assume a cracked head or toasted gasket but you would need to crack check it.

What you need to do is have it hot tanked, then crack checked by a machine shop. But yes, you look it over yourself first for anything obvious and can even magnaflux it yourself if you like. I will drag the one from the shop home tommorow. If you take it, get it crack checked, and its good its $50. If not its free . Im assuming this thing is virgin but I could be wrong on that too. Will look tommorow. The other block is 0.30 over if I remember right, Id like to keep that one around for a bit, I think maybe I have plans for it. Let me know ASAP because otherwise I have to drag my cherry picker out of the shed tommorow. If I can deliver it fri or sat that would be good. Delivery costs a few beers though .
