Some minor things to repair:

- 1 headlight bulb
- driver's side window needs adjusting
- trunk latch needs adjusting
- carbs need tuning

I will probably ditch the two Edelbrocks and get something more streetable. Any suggestions?

PROBLEM: Coolant overflow. Are these suppose to have some overflow reservoir? My work garage will kick me out if I spill coolant on their floors.

No, there shouldn't be a coolant overflow... but you can add one easily. Any aftermarket one should do. Just make sure you switch the radiator cap to a non-locking type then.

As for carbs, I suggest gowing with the Edelbrock Performer Spreadbore Intake and the Edelbrock 750cfm Q-Jet.

Have fun!

Anyone know how to open a stuck door. I think the mechanism inside fell off. Can I remove the door panels from the inside while the door is shut?

Also, I lost the ebrake - cables snapped when I put a bit too much pressure on the ebrake pedal.

As for the carb set up, I will have it tuned for now then talk to the restorer who put the cam in and see what it is to see what works best with it.

I don't think so... at least I couldn't on my 68 with deluxe interior. You might be able to at least pry the top part back and get down far enough to reach the lock mechanism, which should be what's holding it up.

Its the locking mechanism. When I lock the door, it wont unlock despite pulling the lock pin up. The lock pin does go up but the door remains unlocked. I have to remove the pin and use a pair of pliers to yank the pin un and down until it releases the door lock. I guess I better find a solution.

Ahhhh - the joys of an old car.

Also - both windows are loose and wont go up straight unless you pull them up with your fingers.

Well, at least I replaced the headlamps - even though they only go on bright - maybe a fuse? Were fusews used then? I also installed a coolant overflow reservoir and adjusted the carbs - seems like both were opening up. The rod linkage was straight.
