Hey that turbo looks familiar ;) .

BTW, did you order it with the 4 bolt downpipe flange or did you order it with the V-band clamp and ended up getting the 4 bolt instead. I ordered mine with the v-band and got the 4 bolt. Supposedly PTE has run out of v-band housings for the 88+ turbos.

Jordan or Jose could either one of you possibly take off your exhaust housing and measure the inducer and/or the major diameter of the turbine wheel?

i'm trying to find out if the turbine wheel on my industrial sized 76 is similar/larger/smaller in size to the turbine in the PTE88, i have this feeling it *might* be the same

Thanks a lot!

hehe yea, I dont think a thumper would work well for my daily driver :-P

mocked everything up, fits like a glove. its gona fit better than the T76 did (totally different layout)

I try yo measure my junk on monday, its not at the shop.

Jordan, I got one from PTE, you may want to check and see if they have another one. They are going to send it to me this week and I'll just send the 4 bolt back. They claim it will be a few months before they have the V-band housings again for the 88+ turbos

I can't wait to see the set up , and results.

1. How long will it be before it's ready to drive?

2. I thought I saw on your company page that your old set up is in a Trans Am . Can you give deatails , as to whether the motor is stock or not, and when you get them , the resutls? I was just wondering what that kit will put down with the T76.

3. Last, is your setup going on the dyno, and where do you think that turbo will begin to make , and have full boost.

I don't know what ET it runs, but i looks like you will have one of the only daily drivers at the track that might get kicked out for no parachute.

Ill have full numbers on my site as soon as the T76 is on the customers car.

I fully intend to dyno my setup, and expect 900rwhp with out pushing it very hard.

Providing the internals hold together, that turbo should accomplish that goal no problem.

What size engine? street or race car? How does his spool?

I think their used to be a red mustang lx trunk in the Dallas area that was running the same or similar size turbo with something like a 358 ci engine. It kinda looks like the one that was / or is on the PTE web page that I think is running 8's with the T88 . The one I heard about was running low 10's a few years ago at something like 153, and I thought they were saying he drove it on the street. I think their was a video up of it spinning the tires the whole way on a low 10 second 150 + pass.

Anybody have any experience with one that big on the street?

Anyway, the only problem he had was TOO much power.

I can't wait!

Is that the major diameter or the inducer diameter?

thanks

That is the unducer(on the exhaust side, the inducer is the bigger of the two).

the exducer is like 3.4X

RPM280, I bought the turbo system from Jordon. This is what I presently have planned in 2 stages. Currently, I have been running 8lb Procharger on my stock motor. Stage1, I have a 355 with forged rods and pistons, about (9.5:1 c/r) to run 8-12lbs of boost. Jordon will be doing the tuning for me when I complete the install. Stage2 will be either a fully forged 355 or 383, 12bolt, and a complete fuel system upgrade to run X-lbs of boost. That is the plan anyway, give me about 3mo to complete stage1 and I'll give you an update on dyno numbers, etc.

Also, I saw the T88 last week at Jordon's shop and it almost makes my T76 look wimpy!
