Will the gears and posi out of a 2000 ws6 TA work with the stock rear on an 86 TA?

as long as the t/a has a 10 bolt and not a borg warner 9 bolt, yes it will work.

buut you will need axles from a 89-92 car cause the new posi will have 28 spline and the old ones (88 and older I believe)have 26 spline. so check first. I found for me it was better choice to get complete 4 gen rearend. but you need diff. rims to fit the 2" wider rearend. I was buying rims/tires anyways and I came across a great deal on a 3:73(not orig. gears ofcourse) posi rear end out of a 96 trans am.

Quick question on the break lines. I use the stock lines, but will my existing hard lines (drum) fit into the disc's rubber lines without modification?
