My turn lights light up but don't blink. I've done a search and the majority of the answers are "change the lights" Well I've done that ALL the way around. I've also changed the relay in the engine compartment. There was also some mention of a relay under the dash, I've taken my dash apart twice and not found any thing that appears to be a relay. I just called the dealer and they are saying it the actual light sockets are "burnt out" and they want to charge a $100/socket to change them out. Anyone have any ideas about what I could possibly check next so I don't have to get raped of 100/socket.

I've seen the post on the steering column go bad. Check the contacts for corrosion/dirt.

I am not sure what your turn signal problem is but do not pay $100 to replace a socket, I replaced a brake light socket, in a parking garage waiting to go to traffic court for my wreckless driving ticket (I showed up waaay to early but I don't play with traffic court), took me only a couple minutes to do, advanced auto and autozone both sockets, jsut splice them in, I did not have any problems. The metal prongs in my socket got burnt up in one of my brake lights. $100 a socket is rediculous for even a dealership. As for the front singals I am not sure how hard they ar to do but I think the bad thing is not having any room to do it. I reccomend taking crap off form the bottom assuming your firebird is like my camaro to get access.
I have heard the relay is the main culpirt on this stuff. Also did you make sure your bulb was in right? I had a problem with that once.
