Arrow Cruise control, ABS, shifter and steering linkages, wiring harness ... PROS/SHOEBOX!!

I completely disconnected my shifter assembly and steering column (all the way to the engine bay) both are completely loose and ready to come out.... only problem is, both have a cable (metal, with a rubber coating) coming out of them, that leads to below the floorboards. i cannot find a way to disconnect those cables to remove the shifter and the steering wheel/column

should i just cut it?

i also completely disconnected my dashboard, cept it won't come off because of all the wiring. so how do i remove the wiring harness in the dashboard from the inside fuses, out without the dashboard being off?

i also took off the "motor" for the cruise control... but there is a liquid black tube connected to the back of it... how much fluid will come out if i cut it? and what kinda fluid is it? and is there anyway to get it off without cutting it?

what is that jumbled looking thing to the left of the fusebox in the engine bay, that has a bunch of tubes going to the brake master cylnder... abs unit?

also... why are there wires going from the intake manifold to the brake master cylinder?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP, this will keep me set for awhile

All you have to do is pull on the transmission interlock cable that goes into the ignition switch and it will come out.

I have no experience with trying to pull all the wiring out of the dash.

I know of no fluid that goes to the cruise control motor. There should be a cable, though. It goes toward the firewall, then turns and goes to the throttle body (or TCS, if equipped).

Yes, the ABS motor is connected to the master cylinder by brake pipes.

I don't know of any wires that go to the master cylinder. There are some that go to the ABS motor, though.

this cable im talking about... connect to the steering column, about a foot - 16in from the firewall no where near the ignition switch, and it doesn't pull out, believe me, i've tried

how do i take the cable out of the cruise control motor? i see no way of it disconnecting from the unit itself

and what about the cable going to the shifter?

if you need pics i'll try to get you some tomarrow

The only cable I know of that goes to the column is the one I described that goes to the switch. When you say "it is no where near the switch", do you know that the switch is on the lower part of the column? Transmission lever needs to be in PARK and you may need to move the key to RUN to be able to unsnap the cable from the switch. Pull straight out.

On the cruise cable, there is a clip you must pry out first. Then you may have to squeeze the end of the cable connector and pull outward. The cable will still be connected by a "bead" to the motor. You will have to release that to free the cable.

The transmission lever end of the park/lock cable should be simple. You just unclip the cable from the transmission lever. To remove the cable assy, you would squeeze the gray part of the cable mount on the rear side of the bracket, so it could slide through.
