Moving to TN need to get the info!!!

I'm moving to TN next week, i need to get some info on tracks and good shops in the Clarksville area.? i hate to make the move but if i can find some cool guys to hang out with and so places to race i guess its alright!

Moving to Clarksville huh? :D Well, for starters, it's definitely dead around here! We have an 1/8 mi track that is pretty decent, and they run TNT on Wed and Thur nights, and they also run Midnight Madness after the regular bracket program is over with on Friday nights. There's a 1/4 mi track up in Bowling Green, KY, called Beech Bend, which if you follow me from Clarksville, will only take about an hour to get to! :D

Unfortunately, there are no speeds shops around here. The only decent speed shops within a 75 mile radius are in Nashville,and even then those aren't all that great. I order all my parts online from board sponsors over www.ls1tech.com

As far as installs and stuff of that nature, the local f-body club here is nothing more than a huge "Band of Brothers" so to speak. They're willing to help anyone install anything on any car. ;) Tell ya what, go to www.mtfba.org , that's our local car club. You will be pleasantly surprised at the group of guys we have, as I don't believe there are none better. ;)

alot of folks go to special fx in murfreesboro on friday and saturday nights mtfba has alot of nice guys in it welcome to middle tn the drag racing city haha even though there is more than one city in middle tn :D

Yeah, it can be pretty interesting sometimes. That's a bit of a long drive from Clarksville, though. Maybe worth doing every now and then. :)

I've made the drive to the 'Boro quite a few times, and to be honest, it's really not worth it. If you're moving to Clarksville, get with me, as I was born and raised here, and now I work for the City of Clarksville as a fireman, so I guarantee you noone knows this city as well as I do! :D

The drive to BG is much more worth it than to the 'Boro. ;) Friendlier people, and tons more cars! :)

there is a bunch of mustang a**holes here that think they are better and rag the piss out of a gm car there is a bunch of a**holes here but i am nice to everybody that has a fast car

Especially from Clarksville! I haven't been to Special Fx in months, and I live here! :D
