How much am I looking at to get this replaced, if I were to get either the stock subframe connector, or an aftermarket/used one.
If you don't know what i'm talking about, it's the metal piece right below the steering area.
Thanks :)

I've been researching same but as an add-on for frame rigidity in an attempt to salvage lost hp due to frame flex/bowing. So, if I interpret your question correctly, SFC's are in the $200 range depending on style (square vs. round tubing); type (bolt-in vs. weld-in); and manufacturer + the cost of install if you can't do it yourself.
Hope that's what you were asking about,

Are you maybe talking about the K-member? The big piece that goes across under the motor between the wheels?
If so, an aftermarket lightweight one would be the way to go. BMR, ARE, Madman, and others make them.

I believe it's that hunk of black metal directly below the steering, but yeah it's all messed up, I got a quote, and the quote had it down as: "Front Sub Frame Assm.(Dealer)"

Hmm yep it's the K-member. Just made a call to confirm that heh.
Says here 42 lb. weight savings
Can I just install the k-member myself? How hard is it to install?

Not a real tough job but you'll need the right equipment.
You need to hold the motor up from above (overhead hoist or cherry picker)
You need 2 good jack stands under the frame.
and you'll need a floor jack to lower and roll the K-mamber out with.
A lot of parts to swap from the old to the new ie motor mounts, steering rack, front suspension, and you'll need t get it aligned.

Damn sounds like a lot of work :(
I have jack stands, and a floor jack, but no motor hoist
Is there a good How-To on doing this?
Thanks for the help, I appreciate it :)

There probably is but I don't know where.
Do a web search for k-member install?
