What kind of performance can I expect with an LT1 cam in an L03. What kind of idle does it have?

one member of thirdgen.org did the LT1 cam as his very first mod. with no othe rmods he gained about 4mph of trap speed at the track. the idle is at the same rpm as stock, but it has a little more of a not eto it. it is not a wild idle or anything, you can just tell it has a bit more than stock.
a custom chip will obviously be needed to get everything out of it, but you can adjust fuel pressure and base timing a little to make it work very well.

Thanks for the info, didn't that person do a step by step on this forum? I've changed cams before, but I know there are a few things different with the roller cam? Any ideas?

Just had to say, that is one beautiful RS. Were they originally black? If they weren't they should have been, but can't say I ever remember seeing one in person. Also running 12's with a 305 TBI is impressive!

thanks. the car was born black with a red interior. i am plannign to keep the black when i repaint it later this year, but i will be switching to a grey interior.
i have not actually gotten tot he track to run with the new set up yet. i keep having all kinds of unrelated problems, like now there is a wiring issue that prevents the car from starting http://web.camaross.com/bb/frown.gif
as soon as i get to teh track i will post times and vids for everyone.
