Good news and bad news...

So I'm trying to get the car ready for a good road trip to get some good break km's and noticed some blue smoke amongst all the gray unburned fuel smoke.

So I take the car to the machinist that built the bottom half of the motor and he tells me I'm getting blow by through the rings. He says it's not unusual to have this problem with Molly rings.

So this is what he tells me, "Well... we've gone past the point of worrying about anything breaking or slipping. i.e. Bearings. So, wait ‘til its late and noones on the freeway. Get the car moving around 40-50 km/h @ 4000 rpm then just mat it and pull it ‘til the motor won't pull no more!!"

So I gave it a try the other day and pulled it to about 6700 rpm and got to 140km/h in 3rd. I thought that was pretty damn impressive!

What do you guys think that will translate to in the 1/4? And HP’s
If I recall correctly most T56 drivers pull to the top of 4th in the 1/4 running around 415 rwhp.

ur missing 1 big piece of the puzzle man

how long did it take u to get from 40 to 140 !? my cutlass can get to 140 too on the hwy . except it takes about a minute from 40 lol

on the bottle (i have a video of this) it takes under 4 seconds for the my car to go from 40 to 140 .. thats 470rwhp !? thats the only thing i can think of to give u some guideline !?

one way to find out ... this friday .. MRP .. race the thing

or dyno it on the 16th

or Gtech it at least already :p

I'd like to race it but I still haven't replaced the windsheild.
I think I'll be able to make it to the dyno though as long as I can get my other chip done by then.

I would say it took around 5 seconds... The rpms really climb! The stock tach really falls behind now! I get to 7000 on the auto meter when the stock ones at like 6000.

well bud, if they dont let u race at the track .. the only other way to find out is .. race on a "Designated racing strip" other than the track alongside another car whose hp and 1/4 mile times are known ;)

in other words .. line me up b*tch :D
