I have some Mother's Carnauba wax and Meguiar's Gold Class.....Would I be wasting my time by putting on more than one coat? Will each coat remove the previous coat?

MikeLS 08-04-2003, 09:40 AM The Meguiar's GC wax would be a waste to do multiple coats, since it contains cleaners, which would strip the previous coat. The only reason I could see for doing multiple coats would be for the extra cleaning effect if needed. Mother's makes a pure carnauba wax and some cleaner-type waxes as well. The cleaner waxes will not layer, and as Carl said, even the pure carnaua waxes won't really layer or stack coats like a polymer product. If you are going to apply multiple coats of a carnauba wax, it would be better to use a nonabrasive or noncleaner wax. :) Cmr0z28 08-04-2003, 02:58 PM k thanks. KevinSS 08-04-2003, 03:51 PM Mothers has a California Gold Pure Carnauba wax (not really 100% pure, that is not what they mean) and a Mothers California Gold Carnauba Cleaner wax, you did not say which one you have...... | ||
