I'm having serious problems with my landlord right now and I'm ready to pack up and leave my security deposit with him. I started looking at some properties (to buy - not rent again) in the area and most in Bucks County are too high for me. There are, however, a few nice looking townhouses in Northeast Philly (6 or 7 miles south of Bucks County).
One drawback is that I would have to pay city wage taxes and my insurance would go up. What are your opinions?
Thanks.

Check the crime rate of NE Philly, WOW! I'm moving from Ambler (in Montgomery County) to Harrisburg next week. NE Philly is know as the danger zone out here, I would do some serious research before making a jump like that.

;) if you can, i know its a long drive, but berks county, and northern montgomery countys are the place to move to, cheapest homes to buy and the taxes although high isnt as crazy as philly, if i had to do it all over again ide move back to the northeastern part of pa, like tunkhannock or scranton, its dirt ass cheap up there but not to many high paying jobs up there, thats why i moved down here
