Basede on that what should he run? He ran a best of 15.9 and usualy 16.1 average. I say he should run 14.9, 15.2ish...

Probably high 14s.

His real goal is to just run a 100MPH quarter right now...

I say low 15 high 14 n/a and mid 14ish on the bottle.

Can he hit 100 though... He dosent care if it is 14.99 as long as it is 100

I don't think he'll see 100 with a 50 shot. He'll most likely need the 75 shot for that.

Well... I have run, 13.8-13.6 at below 100, lol... So if he wants to see 100mph traps, we really need to work on getting him into a stock LT1 and doing some little stuff to it, lol. ;)

Now he just wants to clock 100 once in the 1/4.... Ya I think it is a waste to toss 1500 into it, but it is such a clean ride and been taken very good care of...


I once hada six, loved it.. The car had meaning and value to me.. I did run his times with 160K though and a older third gen... His first ride was like 17's so 16's is a second faster.. I went from 15.9 to 13.9 when I got my z...

I am thinking he should port is stock heads.. Do more of a gasket match when he does his headers over christmass... I putzed with porting on my old 2.8.... Did the upper and lower plenum.. Ground that mo fo down so nice and smooth... I even played with some used heads I bought... If you just keep it simple and gasket match his stock PCM should handle it? Shouldn't it?

My buddy ported a head on his stock four banger for fun back in college... lol... Gave it some more pep, but his ride had a carb I think...

hehe wouldn't still happen to have a ported lower and middle intake off that 2.8L woudl ya ;)

As for his car, he may want ot talk to shane he has done soem headowork on his 3.8L and is actually wroking on a turbo setup for his car.
