ArcticYT95TA and any of the Lansing crew,
any of you guys hanging out Friday night some place etc. A couple of people are thinking about coming up from the Jackson route if you are. Let me know, would love to meet some more fbody people near by.

you weren't kidding about the rain.. past few days had been so nice that I didn't even realize that rain was on its way. Should have figured..but will keep my fingers crossed either way..

Back in the mid-80's we'd all show up anyway, get out of our cars with nothing but too-tight T-shirts, A cassette of some Beach Boys tunes, a wash bucket, and a bottle of Rain Dance Wash & wax car soap!

Hey BackinBlack, were about in Jackson do you live im over near Airport road. Anyway I can't go up on Friday night but I go upto Cedar and Jolly almost every Saturday night.

I am over by Ella Sharp park.. its right next door actually. I would like to meet another Fellow F-Bodier and if Saturday pans out for me I might just head out there with you man... I don't manage to meet too many muscle car guys here in Jackson... but it definately is getting better...

... Most of them have just been let out of "the big house" and have just "stolen" a Firebird or Camaro so they can be part of a club. This way they can check out your F-Body and if it's better, they'll steal that one too!

Thats why I don't even drive my T/A to town, too many stripped shirted guyz running around looking for crack and a car!! ;)

Just remember Lansing fellas that when anybody from south of you wants to come up, CLUB your steering wheels and disable your ignitions!! :D AND... ask 'em if they know 'BIG BUBBA', if they say yes... LOOK OUT! :eek:

Yea, but it doesn't look like it going to last but maybe a half hour. Hopefully this is all of the rain we will get for the day.

It is definately looking like it will be nasty when it falls, but like Rich said.. looks like it won't last and there are a couple of little rain clouds our west further north... shall check on here again around 5pm or so.. get a report... ;)

That sucks. At least you made it home, and didn't have to leave it on the side of the road somewhere. That would have pissed me off.

I doubt I'll be there this weekend. Car will be down for a little while longer yet while I finish my new round of mods. :D

apparently any rain possibilities would have passed around 6-7pm both in Lansing and Jackson.. I know further east they may have rain later but we should be good. Either way, rain or shine I am still planning to head that way!!

I agree. It was definately nice meeting and hanging out with everyone lastnight. I'm definately looking forward to doing it again this summer. We had a little scare on the way home with the police. I think that next time we'll leave that out. Isn't that right Tim? LOL.:o

I had a lot of fun, too. I'm thinking about heading back the night of 8/22, but won't stay too late since we're leaving at the crack of the a$$ the next morning for the T/A Nats in Dayton.

Hey Dan (ArcticYT95TA), I was curious, so I looked up my window sticker. Pontiac calls my white "Bright White." Wonder if Arctic White is a Chevrolet term?? I'd hate for you to have to change your screen name, though!!!

You can't do the RPO code/ paint code to get the proper color name.
My 2000 Formula is blue green chamaleon when I went to get some touch up paint to cover the weld areas from the sub frame installation the paint code deciphers to mystic teal. Same color different name.
So the proper name for your car color for Pontiac for 95 is as Randy said.

Dan: I think we are taking about the same white, as Al points out, with a different name for Chevy and Pontiac.

I have a Pontiac brochure from '95. I'll look it up and see what the book called it.

Dan: I am holding in my hot little hand an official '95 Pontiac brochure. It plainly states that Firebird color code #10 is called "Bright White." Every vehicle in the '95 Pontiac line offered white and every one called it Bright White (although some used code 16).

No biggie, it just clears up my confusion.

Dan: My label says "10U' just like yours. The brochure I speak of is the full-line booklet (brochure) published by GM and distributed at Pontiac dealers. It's copyrighted 1994. It shows the full Pontiac line for '95 and in the back are color chips for every model.

I'm really not trying to start something with you. You have:
- the word of some guy who posted on the internet
- RPO's listed at an enthusiast Firehawk site

I have:
- my original factory sticker
- an original Pontiac showroom brochure
- input from a GM employee (Al Fox)

I'm convinced that Arctic White is Chevy's nomenclature for paint code 10. Bright White is Pontiac's name for the same color. Both sprayed by the same robots in the same plant.

Anyone up for a CZ28.com Lansing area gathering dinner on a Friday night, say 7 PM or so? Then, a cruise & final stop at Cedar and Jolly?

Whaddya think? Worth starting a separate thread? I'd like to see if we can invite some of the local F-cars that don't necessarily see the site as well.

Expect me to shamelessly plug the purchase of a CZ28.com DVD as I am putting in excessive amounts of labor into it.

Any way we could schedule a little get-together like that for the first week of September? I only suggest that because I would like to attend, but I will be out of the country from this weekend until then. It would definitly give other people a little time to plan for it. If not, there's always next time I guess.

Absolutely! How about September 5th? I wasn't suggesting THIS friday, I was thinking of simply 'a' Friday. Planning is a must. We've got to get word to RRRR, AL Fox, Kevin Hinkley, among others. There's a few guys here in Meridian Township that I want to invite as well.

Now, who would like to suggest the restaurant? We've had good luck with Chi Chi's in Okemos, but I think a South Lansing venue would be just as fine.
