So i pretty much have everything i need to be able to cut 1.6 60s at least

this is what my setup looks like briefly

28x12.5x15 ET streets
Hals (2s up front, 5,6 out back)
Mcleod street twin
4.10s
380 rwhp NA
470 rwhp + 100 shot
3600 lbs
no front sway bar, 26mm back bar
LCA brackets/ billet rod end LCAs
stock torque arm (reinforced bolt holes)

i didnt even try the nitrous off the line, but the one time i tried to launch off the 2 step limiter at 4500 i got a 2.7 60' ...

the tires were ran at 14 psi cold (got rained out, didnt get a chance to drop psi more), they are tubed and screwed

the best 60 i cut on the 12.5 ETs was a 2.0.. the track wasnt in a bad shape, it was hot and sunny, and i would launch between 3500 and 4500 rpm dumping my clutch and they just spin and spin and spin :(

the ET streets are a bit old though, but the previous owner said he pulled the fronts off the ground with them last year...

would going to a newer 28x10.5 ET drag and or running lower PSI in the tires help ? (cant afford brand new slicks ..)

depending on how old they are the oils in them dry out and they just dont come back no matter how hard you burn them out

you'd be surprised how much just a new set of the same tires would react

ok .. so new tires it is then

should i keep the 12.5 ET streets or go to a 10.5 ET drag ?

hell maybe i'll go all out and get a 10.5W :D

i know you are pushing out more HP but i can hook a 125 shot out of the hole with a 3600 stall and my car is lowered. That is with the 26/11.5/16 E/T streets at approx-18 psi.
I would recommend that without a second thought.
Good luck

You need subframes, a torque arm, and a rear drag bar.

i have subframes and a cage ..
i also have a 26mm solid rear bar .. which is almost a drag bar

all im missing from my suspension puzzle is a torque arm but i never thought that a TA could cost me THAT much traction

Have you considered calling Mickey Thomspon and asking their recommendation? They have a tech staff that is more than willing to help. Not that us guys aren't "god" or anything, but they do manufacture tires and could probably offer some advice as well. :)
