Chrome paint on wheels?

I recently painted the wheels on the 90' Formula because they were in bad shape. It turned out pretty good but the color silver I used is not as bright as I wanted. My question is, if I used the chrome paint, would it actually look good, or just look like a really cheap knock-off. I didn't do the chrome to begin with because I thought it would look really bad but I was looking in a magazine and they used chrome paint to do some interior parts and said it looked great. What are your thoughts?

I would never do that...someone tried it on a exhaust pipe and that didnt even look good...let alone on wheels

Anyone else with some experience with this?
