Does anyone know off-hand if installing a pillar pod and gauges would void the Factory warranty? I called my local dealer and they said it would void any existing warrany on the car. So i am wondering is this is true or maybe the peron i spoke with had no idea of what i was talking about. Also, why would this void the warranty, guages help to tell more about the car and what it is doing, nothing like performance wise, know what i mean?
THANKS

installing gauges will not void the warranty?
why would the dealership say it would void the warranty, they are full of ****...they have to prove it if u bring your car for warranty work...that the gauges u installed are causing problems on your car....if u installed them correctly then the dealership cant do anything to void your warranty..they have to prove that those gauges are causing the problem

Go here for the specialty auto parts consumers bill of rights:

http://www.pacchips.com/htm/sema01.htm

The most important section states, "your vehicle dealer MAY NOT reject a warranty claim simply because an aftermarket product is present. A warranty denial under such circumstances may be proper ONLY if an aftermarket part caused the failure being claimed."
