Chris'SS #2152 07-22-2003, 10:20 AM Just as the post reads. What times should I be running with 400rwhp/380rwtq with 3700lbs weight? At Bowling green with not that great of track prep. and my crappy tires I could only mustard up a 13.11 with 2.6 60' @ 111mph spinning really badly off line. I am working on tires and maybe some suspension if needed but just want to get a idea of what ballpark I should be in.
thanks
Chris
That .08 at the launch trtanslates to more than that in ET. Plan on low 12's/high 11's. Each car is very different so exact guesses are hard to make. Mine is 2600 pounds. I have less power than you. I have run 11.86 but generally run 12.2's with consistency. There are many variables. If you run at an NHRA track you will need a roll bar if you hit 11.99. You have the MPH to do it.
Chris'SS #2152 07-22-2003, 03:53 PM That's kinda what I was thinking also, just wanted some other opinions. We were thinking it had alot more in et left in it but just could get it to hook up. Everyone was running in the mid 13's that day, hot 85* with lots of humidity and bar. pressure was up there also.
If a roll bar is needed, what does it need to make it legal? Will a wolf 6pt. work?

You mean 3600, correct?
big dave 07-22-2003, 11:06 PM You should definitely be in the 11s with traction and good air.
CANTONRACER 07-22-2003, 11:52 PM 2600 lbs...man, you wish...but if it is...pm me! j/k
High 11's should not be a problem if you can get some traction.
Good luck.
97 WS6 T/A Conv 07-23-2003, 01:43 AM Chris,
I ran 12.44 @ 114.47 with 402 HP at the wheels and 368 TQ, raceweight about 3750. I ran that number 6-27-03. Everything should be in my sig. The 452 came about 2 weeks later with a dyno tune.
ltlhomer 07-23-2003, 02:12 AM LOL must be 3600. Otherwise, he could probably trap 112 w/ a stock engine and bolt-ons :-). Isn't there a guy on here with a stock lt1 engine running 12.1's w/ a car under 2900 lbs? Weight reduction done to the extreme can definitly give you great benefits.
Yea, I had a typo, it is 3600 pounds... Actually 3590 at new England Dragway and 3623 at Englishtown (go figure).
Chris'SS #2152 07-23-2003, 01:41 PM My 3700 lbs race weight was with spare tire/jack and everything. I know I can loose at least 200 lbs off the car without that much of a problem.
PS, I also had a cooler filled with Budwiser from the night before, go figure.:D
94GrayV6 07-23-2003, 03:11 PM Haulin down the track with beer in the back... :D
ltlhomer 07-23-2003, 03:16 PM He brings the beer for the mustang owners to cry over after he stomps their a$$. :-).
Chris'SS #2152 07-23-2003, 03:49 PM Actually it was for all those Corvette guys that called my car "that steel car". That was until I somked them.:D It's always fun taking down vettes that run mid-high 13's and some 14's.
The 50th annv. bash @ bowling green was fun until they made fun of me. :o Eveyone with a Z06 thought they had mid 12 second cars, but not in that heat.
Boy did that track need some prep. Even the twin turbo Lingerfelter guys said that the track was prep'd like sh*t. They even srayed the track with VHT and he could only mustard high 9's when the usually are around mid-high 8's:cry
Watch out for the Z06's...

Hey, my buddy has one he can't drive. :D The heat that day killed eveyone's times. There was one guy would was pulling 12.9's with a 2003 and DR's.
