So I was out at the track this friday for Friday night street racing. This guy in a Silver 2003 Mustang comes up and asks me to race. So I say sure and ask him what he has under the hood. He lifts he hood and he has a 390 HP Supercharged 4.6 with a six speed. I am thinking I am going to get smoked. My Trans Am is completely stock and it is an automatic on top of that. We get to the line the flagger drops his hands and I smoke the dude off the line by about 2 car length however he pulls me in the top end and beats me by about an inch. I still feel I did pretty good considering he has 85 more horse than me and a stick. What do you guys think should I be happy with the results?

 

He doesn't have 85 more HP than you. He is barely pushing 40 more. Those cars are also very heavy. But, good race. Sounds like he got a bad start. What was your ET and MPH? What was his? I say do some mods and go smoke him.

from whta Ive read the O3 cobras are dynoing between 410 and 425 at the flywheel

they are definetly bad
