Slick Rotation!?

I did this two trips ago to the track and the car hasn't hooked since. When I rub my hand over the tire surface in the direction the tires are rotating now, the rubber smooths out. When I go opposite direction, (how they USED to rotate), the rubber roughens up. I think I funked up by rotating them, HUH?

Anyway they will be placed BACK in original position. Anyone else experience this with Hoosier D5 slicks? And... NO, they don't have arrows on them! ;)

HInk

Nope, I rotate mine after about 15 runs. I have ran Hoosiers and M/T's and did this all the time. I put about 300 passes on the Hoosiers before they started to go away.

Look at the wear pattern, how much rubber do you have left?

I usually rotate my slicks after each event or track day. Makes em last longer and hook better.
