I installed my 3.5" slash cut Loudmouth exhaust and SLP lid today. I bought the pieces from new era performance. They were a very friendly shop and shipped fast. The install was very simple. I used the system as an excuse to buy a new sawzall as well! I made two cuts on the factory pipe, one in front of the axle, and one in front of the passenger side hanger. I like the agressive sound of the system so far. I do not like how obvious the clamps are on the exhaust tips, I will most likely have them welded on at a shop soon! The SLP lid is a quality piece. It went on easy, and the 2000-2002 specific piece has the fitting for the hose, so no extra filter is required. The horsepower difference seems to be noticable to me. I will make a trip to Dinwiddie soon to see what kind of times I can lay down!
I made a before and after video clip for everyone who wonders how the loudmouth sounds. My ISP allows 300mb's transfer a month, and the clip is almost 1 meg, so the first 300 visitors get to d/l it!

Sounds excellent. I really like the look of those tips too, better than the dual on each side. If you can, get a clip of you driving away so we can hear what it sounds like with some load on it. I love the Loudmouth.

I did a before and after with a little driving. I'll post some 150+ mph driving videos along with a 120 mph pass by soon.

its CRAZY loud on LT1s for some reason LT1s are just louder motors. if u like noise, ull love it. Just remember to get the adaptor thing to fit LT1 cars.

Well the LT1s sound louder because of two reasons, the iron block and the head design seem to make them louder. The Loudmouth is a ok exhaust i have one on my 98 Z28 but with my longtube headers its too raspy(a downfall of the LS1). Ive only had it on for a month and im already in the process of replacing it with a True Duals setup from Speed Inc. They sound awesome and aren't obnoxiously loud.

Thanks for the replies, I enjoy the exhaust. I can tell I have a motor in the car now! The car is a daily driver, and basically a family car (I am married with a 5 year old) and even my wife doesn't think it is too bad. I have a '72 Ford F250 with a built 390, headers and dual flowmasters, she didn't want the Z-28 to sound like the truck! At highway cruise it is quiet, but at WOT it really roars. I still plan to add a cut out before the resonator. I am heading to the dyno in VA beach on tuesday, then dinwiddie drag strip on the 26th, hopefully I'll have some good numbers to post!

Is it true that in VA if you increase the "factory noise level" in your car they will give you a ticket?
